Corporate summary
Cable TV Network (CTV) Limited owns, operates, and manages cable TV systems and intends establishing other related telecommunications businesses. Our operations consist primarily of selling cable-based programming and distributing entertainment and sports programming services. CTV first established itself in Tanzania in 1992 and quickly gained a majority market share of the cable TV business. CTV is in the process of building a two-way cable network and operate a 750 MHz (92 - Analogue channel capacity) system.

Providing quality programming in Tanzania
Using the CATV system for distribution, we provide communities in Dar es Salaam with choice programs. Our programming consists of local, regional and international cultural programs, multilingual movies and serials, world news, educational programs and cartoons.

CTV Programming
CTV is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and a member Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). CTV has distributorship agreements with Star TV Network, Multichoice and Doordarshan channel to carry their programming on the CTV network. CTV offers its clients just one subscription level comprising the nation's largest lineup with over 60 channel selections.

CTV Coverage Areas
TV has a large and expanding presence in Tanzania, provides quality programming in Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Morogoro, Dodoma, and Mbeya, and has strategic partnership with Furaha Cable in Zanzibar.

Broadband internet access & telephony
CTV has recently formed strategic partnership with SATCOM NETWORKS AFRICA LTD and are now providing broadband Internet access to subscriber homes and offices. CTV has a fully trained team that takes up the challenges to install and deploy fiber optic technology and provide broadband internet services on the HFC network to its current subscriber base. CTV also has plans to enter the telephony business and provide telephony services to its customers via the CATV network. CTV benefits from this strategic relationship by receiving very competitive pricing on most of these services, allowing the company to offer competitive pricing on its services to customers.

Sponsorships
CTV is member of the Dar-es-Salaam Chamber of Commerce and an active sponsor of educational and cultural programming. CTV's employees and owners actively participate in volunteer and charitable events for the promotion and development of local TV programming.

Infomercials and advertising
CTV draws some of its revenues from selling advertising time to commercial businesses and private individuals. Negotiations are currently underway to establish a 24-hour channel to carry infomercials and product advertising programs.
